Description
The RG3770DX is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2016. It is made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale Prestige line.
The RG3770DX features a basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret maple fingerboard with colored sharktooth position markers. Components include DiMarzio pickups with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines. The most striking aspect of the model is that the pickups, headstock, inlays and knobs are all color matched to the finish.
The model name is an exception to the usual pattern in that the name ends in “70”, which generally indicates a model without a pickguard; HSH models with pickguards generally have model numbers ending in “50”.
The RG3770FZ is somewhat similar but with an exotic flamed maple top, without the color-matched pickups and with a different tremolo and inlays.
